Purcell Tire & Service Center
Purcell Tire was founded by Robert M. Purcell, in Washington, Mo., in 1935. He obtained a Goodyear franchise that same year. As the business grew, a second location opened in Granite City, Illinois in 1951. In 1963, Robert’s son, Robert G. and his wife Juanita, opened a third location and the family's first Retread facility in De Soto, Missouri.
Today, Purcell Tire and Rubber Company is recognized as one of the leading tire and OTR retread companies in the world. In addition to 5 retread plants, Purcell has more than 60 Service Centers for passenger cars and trucks and 35 Truck Tire Centers to service commercial vehicles. Purcell now has locations in Arizona, Nevada, Utah, New Mexico, Missouri, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Arkansas, Texas and recently Washington and Alaska. Purcell now offers delivery service for trucks and equipment to 48 states and to three continents. Purcell Tire’s divisions include manufacturing/retreading, mining, commercial, wholesale and retail tire and repair centers.
